History of Torngat Gundogs

Jason Whitehead has been involved with dogs most of his life originally as pets and then working Labrador’s and now the three breeds we specialise in.

He is a true shooting man who is as much at home with a stick and a spaniel as he is with his Lab and a Berretta. Be it a 500 bird driven day or a walk around before breakfast you’ll find him there some where, in the beating line, gun line or stood behind it with his trusty labs and cocker.

Torngat’s Gundogs was formed in April 2001. Of course it all started many years ago when Jason bought his first Labrador. A chocolate called Bud  "A Chocolate for a Gundog!" if only he’d listened; Bud wouldn’t be with him now led on the sofa where all true Gundogs shouldn’t be.

He later purchased Molly a true working class bitch from a Gentleman in Scunthorpe who we still conduct business with to this day.

We mention this as our colleagues at other Kennels are chosen with great time and careful consideration before a working relationship is struck and there links added to our website. Because in the Gundog world we need a quality network of colleagues in order for us to fulfill our customer’s demands.
