Training Standards

It is very difficult to try and categorise a dogs training standard. However in order to try and give you some idea of what we have for sale and for you to understand what you want from your dog we have layed out the following training standards.

LEVEL 4 HALF TRAINED

The dogs training has been further advanced and besides doing that of a Part trained dog it can

Takes the hand signals at short distances (20 yards)
Can be sent for a blind retrieve, this is where the dog is merely told to get back without seeing the retrieve
Has been introduced to water
Starting pistol will have been used in some part of its training

At this level the gundogs are trained to retrieve a shot pheasant from bracken. This is undertaken over the course of 2 weeks or until the gundog has mastered this level.
