Level 5 shot over retrieve/marsh

Training Standards

It is very difficult to try and categorise a dogs training standard. However in order to try and give you some idea of what we have for sale and for you to understand what you want from your dog we have laid out the following training standards.

LEVEL 5 THREE QUARTER TRAINED

Now the real work has begun the dog has shown potential in its training upto the Half-trained standard and will be able to

Retrieve cold game
Retrieve from and across water both still and running
Been shot over with a Shotgun
The hand signals and Backs have been pushed to around 50yds

At this level the gundogs are trained to retrieve a shot pheasant from water logged marsh. This is undertaken over the course of 4 weeks or until the gundog has mastered this level.
